#JonasAtUST !

"It's important to appreciate the fact that we are in the age of

constant connectivity because it's an opportunity to touch

peoples lives "

These were some of the beautiful thoughts Mr. Jonas de los

Reyes shared last Saturday, February 01 2014.

Former Yahoo! Southeast Asia Lead Community Manager and a Social Media Strategist Jonas de los Reyes  visited UST College of Fine Arts and Design to have an inspirational talk about Social Media and Digital Marketing on Advertising arts students. It is to build awareness and deeper knowledge about Social Media Marketing and how it is applied to Advertising.
“Now Streaming: Jonas de los Reyes” was the chosen title for the event. It was held in the UST Beato Angelico Bldg gallery. The Ideas That Matter team organized the said event, in which they invited Jonas de los Reyes to be the guest speaker. The event's content was mainly focused on Social Media, its various effects on today's generation, it's uses and how it can be applied into efefctive marketing and advertising. Also, we introduced Iori’s background profile.

While listening to his talk, a lot of realizations came to me. Such were how the influence of Social Media made a difference to today's generation. That Social Media now has not only become an instrument of communication but also has been a channel of information in many ways. I remember Jonas saying " Anyone who is online can be an influence." And that pretty much sums up the whole talk.

ITM's Social Media team also causght Jonas himself using Social Media to share his experiences during the event!

And the audience themselves were able to ask questions and comment about the event by tweeting to ITM's twitter account with the hashtags #JonasAtUST, #IdeasThatMatter2014 and #MusicITM2k14

All in all, the event has been a good one. Thanks to the bright ideas and knowledge shared by Jonas de los Reyes! Everyone sure is looking forward to having him again for another talk in the future.
